Biography
Vlado was born in Czechoslovakia in 1964. His father was an art professor at the nearby college. Vlado grew up learning from his father and spending countless hours in the darkroom. When he was of age, he received his degree in photography from S.U.P.S. college in Kosice. In 1984, a few months after college, he escaped from the then socialistic regime to pursue more freedom in art and life. In 1992, Vlado married and had a daughter (his muse); and was distracted by the rigors of family life and the need to make a living by being a painting contractor. Vlado lived in Seattle for 15 years and again felt the need to escape the big city (he feels this escape had more of an impact than the first) and also remarried. He is now living a more peaceful life at the Columbia River Gorge in Mosier/ Oregon and has fully directed his passion again towards his art.
